Construction Project Management |
• |
To participate in pre-contract tendering and planning and to advise on potential hazards and on site safety organization and safety measures required; |
• |
To examine contract of documents and specifications and to establish constraints which affect planning of site layout and methods of construction; |
• |
To set up safety organization and to manage and administer the effectiveness of the safety program; |
• |
To hold regular safety meetings with the parties concerned and to take the necessary follow-up actions; |
• |
To advise management on
-- preventing injury to personnel and damage to plant and equipment
-- further improvement in existing sound working methods
-- legal requirements affecting safety, health and welfare
-- changes in legislation; |
• |
To carry out site inspection and to prepare inspection report for actions by line supervision; |
• |
To maintain plant and equipment register and to ensure validity of all appropriate test certificates under the statutory requirements; |
• |
To determine the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and to recommend means of preventive measures, and to liaise, on behalf of the client, with government officials , insurance company or its agent , and/or other parties concerned in investigating the incident; |
• |
To supervise the recording and analysis of information on injuries, damage and production loss, assess accident trends and review overall safety performances; |
• |
To coordinate or to arrange safety training courses for different levels of the client's employees; |
• |
To represent the client in any court proceeding arising from summons of breach of safety regulations and to prepare comprehensive report for defence or mitigating circumstances, and |
• |
To supervise the first-aid services and / or security control at the client's premises. |

Accident Investigation |
• |
To obtain witness statement from the eye-witnesses; |
• |
To carry out detailed on-site survey; |
• |
To establish the cause of the accident and to recommend means for preventing recurrence; |
• |
To advise on legal exposures in respect of the statutory requirements and obligations; and; |
• |
To prepare comprehensive report for legal cases arising from the Criminal or Civil proceedings. |

Insurance Carieer
|
• |
To carry out total loss control survey at the Insured premises, including fire, accident and extraneous risks; |
• |
To advise on the acceptance of the risk and to give recommendations for minimizing hazard exposure; |
• |
To provide detailed information of the risk and to prepare loss control report for the underwriter's consideration; and |
• |
To conduct fire risk assessment and survey at the insured premises.

Safety and Risk Assessment
|
• |
To analyze work processes and identify the associated risks in respect of the safety and health of persons employed in the industrial undertaking, and persons of the general public ; |
• |
( for work carried out in confined space ) to conduct instrumental testing of the atmosphere of the confined space; |
• |
To recommend measures for controlling, reducing, or eliminating the risks, with the aim of preventing accidents. |

OSHMS (Occupational Safety & Health Management System) Auditing
|
• |
To provide guidance on preparation for safety audit ; |
• |
To carry out audit on the safety management performance of industrial enterprises ; |
• |
To recommend measures for improving safety management performance. |
|
|
Education and Training
|
• |
To organize package safety training courses for employees, foreman, supervisors, senior management staff, etc.; |
• |
To organize safety competition campaign , promotion scheme , etc. to the clients' requirements; and |
• |
To organize safety seminars and conferences for individual organization.
